The woman left her water jar beside the well and ran back to the village, telling everyone, “Come and see a man who told me everything I ever did...?” (John 4:28-29 NLT)
The Bible is that it is a metanarrative of God’s story. So, what is a metanarrative? A metanarrative simply means ‘big’ or ‘grand’ story which is made up of smaller stories and when we look at the Bible, it records events that may appear to be just a collection of random stories. However, on a higher level, we find that there is a link between all the individual stories and events recorded. The Bible has now been bound and handed to us but God’s story is not finished. You and I continue that story and so it would be wise to understand what part you play in His story. Have you ever asked yourself that question?
As part of this ministry, I have come across a lot of people with stories that have been mind-blowing. I have come across a lot of ‘Esther’s’, ‘Hannah’s’, ‘Leah’s’ ‘Josephs’ etc. and I have always wondered what would have happened if these people lived during the time of the people in the Bible but that’s what this initiative is all about. “If your story made the Bible”, what story would that be? What book would it be called? What theme would it fall under? Faith? Restoration? Salvation? Spiritual growth? Healing? We are looking to publish a book called “If my story made the Bible” which would be made up of 66 stories that would be selected during our March 2018 anniversary. The best story would get a book deal to be published in the same year. Have you got a story? We would love to hear from you. So, please send your details below;
